A Plate Shared is A Plate Enjoyed
Whether it’s breakfast, share plates or large plates, the menu consists of an array of local produce that helps to create dishes with abundant flavours that will warm the fussiest of palettes, all season.
Breakfast can be sweet or savoury, from honeycomb-topped pancakes, to aged cheddar omelettes and potato confit with poached egg. Not to mention all the classic favourites, like eggs benedict or bircher muesli.
Our baristas are on hand to give you a much-needed caffeine wakeup call from 6:30am, along with Melbourne’s favourite T2 range and fruit smoothies and juices.

Designed to be shared among friends, our small and large plates are ideal for lunch or dinner. With peking duck, gochujang prawn tacos or crispy chicken ribs ready to dive into, sharing might not even be an option. For something a little larger, the crowd pleaser this season is sure to be the crispy pork cheek plate with hints of Korean flavours – it’s already a staff favourite.

Dinner is best served late with a cheeky cocktail. Our Happy Hour runs from Thursday - Sunday, 5-7pm.

Located directly below The Olsen on Chapel Street, whether you’re after a nibble or a feast, Spoonbill is the perfect place to spend time with friends. A place where food meets art. Book a table in the warmth this winter.

A Celebration of John Olsen
It’s always a pleasure when John Olsen comes to stay at The Olsen but the other week we were treated to something a little extraordinary. John Olsen, in town to open his The You Beaut Country exhibition at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia — an exhibition where Art Series Hotel Group are proud partners — joined us at an intimate lunch held in his honour in the John Olsen penthouse.
