We’ve partnered up with Melbourne Zoo in celebration of the Australian-first photo exhibition ‘National Geographic Photo Ark’, to bring you a fresh winter package where you can sleepover at The Larwill Studio and explore not only the Melbourne Zoo but the awe-inspiring photo exhibition.
From 1 July – 1 October, you can experience the exhibition in all its glory. Explore species from all over the world in zoos and sanctuaries, in an effort to raise awareness and inspire conservation efforts, before it’s too late. The multi-year effort of National Geographic Fellow and photographer Joel Sartore, aims to capture approximately 12,000 species in all of the world’s zoos and sanctuaries in the hope to inspire action through education and help save the world’s wildlife.
The completion of this project will demonstrate the urgent need to save the world’s creatures from extinction and serve as an important record of their existence. The majestic exhibition lets you explore animals from Asia, Africa, Rainforests and the Australian bush while also learning about their habitat and how you can help save them now and well into the future.
So far, Joe Sartore has captured creatures from 40 countries to bring together an archive of global biodiversity of more than 6,000 species. Open all day in the Leopard Lodge, the exhibition showcases not only the creatures we know and love, but many of the world’s animals that are on the brink of extinction.
Make a day of it during your stay at The Larwill Studio. Stroll across the park to the Zoo and be in awe as you experience this archive of beautiful creatures. Book our Stay and See package for your next sleepover and receive Zoo entry for adults and/or children and a complimentary Art Series Canvas to paint your creature-inspired memories on.
