WHY REVERSE REVIEWS?

These days everyone’s a critic. The internet has enabled people to rate every film, restaurant or latte they experience, good or bad. And hotels come under as much scrutiny as anyone. Sites like TripAdvisor are great for all hotels, providing a platform for the good, the bad and the ugly feedback to be heard. All criticism is useful to improve the service we deliver, however the reviews are not always telling the truth. So what would happen if we made it a two way street? We have many guests who fail to meet our standards, but we don’t have a forum of our own. Until now.  

WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE

Reverse Reviews is something of a social experiment. Firstly, we want to see if the fear of having one’s dirty laundry aired in public affects guest behaviour, making our hotels better for all. After all, it’s the bad guests that often ruin it for the good ones.

But, perhaps more importantly, we want to find out who the perfect guests are. We do have special guests; ones who always greet us with a smile and make us want to come to work. We want to bring them back for an extra night, because these are the kind of guests we want at Art Series Hotel Group. 

BAD BEHAVIOUR

It’s long been suspected that people don’t behave at their best when they’re away from home, but now we have the research to back it up. 30% of Australians have confessed to bad behaviour in hotels and we suspect the rest aren’t being entirely honest. 

One in ten people steal from hotel rooms. And we’re not just talking about soaps and chocolate bars, we’re talking bedding, irons and light globes! We even have guests who pilfer the batteries from our television remotes, bless them. 

And 400,000 Australians have confessed to trashing a hotel room, and they all can’t be in rock bands. Yes, badly behaved hotel guests come in all shapes and sizes.

From April 17 to May 31 you can stay and play Reverse Reviews. We'll be posting our Reverse Reviews here and finally revealing what goes on behind closed doors.
