Alice in Wonderland has been a rite of passage for 150 years, charming children and adults the world over. With walls adorned with Charles Blackman’s paintings attributing to the enchanting happenings of this magical adventure, little minds will turn big, while small hands will remain active during the 2 x two-hour workshops.
Armed with a treasure chest brimming with paper, glitter, and an array of curious objects, Beci will take young guests on a journey down the rabbit hole, to inspire creativity and bring to life the fantasy of logic and nonsense. All the children need to bring is an imagination the size of forever and the belief that ideas have no bounds.
The Blackman is moments away from the city’s CBD and five minutes from world famous St Kilda Beach, offering the perfect base to spend the remainder of the day on a family adventure.
For a longer family getaway, families can also take advantage of the new Stay and Play package. The offering includes a sleepover in a Deluxe Studio Twin Suite with balcony, breakfast at Classico and half-day adult Lekker bicycle and children’s scooter hire. The kids can further harness their artistic flair using the complimentary art canvas kit whilst parents can enjoy a lazy morning with a late checkout of 1pm. Free car parking is included and the use of complimentary Bugaboo strollers, to ensure the family holiday is as hassle free as possible.
Both Beci Orpin Workshops will take place at The Blackman on Monday 21st of September and are for children aged 5 years and over accompanied by a parent/guardian. Session one will go from 10am to Midday, and session two will go from 2pm-4pm. Tickets are $25 per person with $5 from each ticket being donated towards The Royal Children’s Hospital in North Melbourne.
