Rod Laver Arena, situated in the grounds of Melbourne & Olympic Park's has been home to some of Melbourne’s largest concerts and events since 1988. The home of Australian Tennis, each year Rod Laver Arena hosts the Grand Slam Tournament, the Australian Open.  Tennis has brought significant recognition to the arena and to the City of Melbourne, with the tournament being the highlight event for the summer.
