Located on River Street in South Yarra (only a short stroll from The Olsen), Nellie Castan Gallery is one of Australia's most respected. The gallery is committed to exhibiting emerging and mid-career artists. Dedicated to the promotion of work across all contemporary media, Nellie Castan Gallery has held over 200 exhibitions and participated in a number of national and international art fairs. Nellie Castan Gallery has two exhibition spaces. Gallery I showcases solo exhibitions by represented artists, while Gallery II is a smaller project space for unrepresented local and overseas emerging artists.

Set back slightly from the street there is a front courtyard enclosed by classic Art Deco gates which allows extra space for clients to gather outside for preview nights in summer.In spring, summer and autumn, the space will function with a café on Saturday mornings. The gallery represents approximately thirty artists from emerging to established artists working in diverse media including painters, sculpters, ceramicists and mixed media artists.The gallery also holds annual exhibitions of early Aboriginal art including bark paintings and artefacts.

Paradise Hills is one of Melbourne's newest ‘artist run’ galleries, providing an experimental space for emerging and established artists, to explore adventurous avenues of creativity in contemporary art. The gallery is located just over the Yarra River in Richmond. Access from the hotel is easy, just a short tram ride along Victoria St or Bridge Rd to Burnley St, just behind IKEA Richmond.
